The Myer Centre Parking Trial Terms

Introduction

Linkt and Linkt Brisbane are trade marks of Transurban Limited used under licence by Queensland Motorways Management Pty Ltd ABN 86 010 630 921 (“Transurban” or “we” or “us” or “our” or “Linkt Brisbane”). We are conducting two separate trials, (as the case may be, the “Trial” or together the “Trials”) which allow participants to use their Linkt Prepaid Tag or Tagless account to pay for parking at The Myer Centre, Brisbane (the “parking service”).

By submitting a Trial registration form to us, you agree to participate in the respective Trial for which you are eligible on these terms (“Terms”). If you don’t agree (or cannot comply) with these Terms, then you may not participate in that Trial and should not submit a registration form.

Please read these Terms carefully. They cover important information about the Trials including the things you agree to do if you are eligible and agree to participate.

Your Linkt account Customer Service Agreement will continue to apply in addition to these Terms.

The Myer Centre Parking Trial Terms

  • Trial duration

    We are conducting two Trials, which have different eligibility requirements and independent commencement dates.

    Each of these two Trials have separate commencement dates as set out in these terms and described below:  

    1. Trial for Transurban employees and their family and friends: This Trial runs from 07:00 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Monday 10 December 2018 and ends 23:59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday 31 March 2019
    2. Trial for Linkt Pre-Paid customers in Brisbane: This Trial runs from 07:00 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Tuesday 8 January 2019 and ends 23:59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday 31 March 2019 (“Trial period”).

    The parking trial has been further extended from 1 July 2019 to 31 December 2019. The 20% discount offer for both trials ended on Sunday 31 March 2019 and will not apply during the extended Trial period. Participants who stay on the Trial and continue to use the service or opt-in to join the extended Trial agree that the parking charges will be charged at standard drive up rates until the end of the extended Trial period.

    All other terms and conditions set out on this page will continue to apply to the extended Trial.

    The commencement date of your respective Trial will be determined by which of the Trials you register for and all other conditions as outlined in these Terms apply. You cannot register for both of these Trials. In the event that you register for the Linkt Prepaid Customer Trial, you agree that the duration of this Trial is of a shorter duration as set out in these Terms.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible to participate in either of the Trials, you must:

    • be within the first one thousand (1000) participants to register for that Trial during the respective Trial period;
    • have a Linkt Prepaid Tag or Tagless account (“Linkt account”) that has been open for, and not been suspended in the past twelve (12) months;
    • not have more than two vehicles linked to your Linkt account;
    • have set up the automatic direct debit payment option from a credit card or debit card for automatic top up of your Linkt account (you can update your top up preferences here); and
    • submit an online Trial registration form to us

    (the “Eligibility Criteria”).

    We will assess your eligibility to participate in your chosen Trial based on the information you submit to us in your registration form.

    Neither of the Trials are open to our Linkt Commercial Account, customers with a Prepaid account for their business, or Key Account customers, or to pass holders.

  • Registration

    If you're interested in participating, you need to complete the respective Trial registration form. We will let you know if you're eligible to participate within two business days of receiving your registration form.

    To register your interest in participating, you must provide us with the following information (as listed on your Linkt account):

    • your first and last name;
    • the licence plate number of the vehicle(s) linked to your Linkt account (no more than two);
    • your email address; and
    • your mobile phone number.

    By submitting the registration form to us, you agree to participate in that Trial and that:

    • you have read, understood and accept these Terms;
    • you meet the Eligibility Criteria;
    • you are the authorised Linkt account holder;
    • your Linkt account details are up to date and match the information provided to us in your registration form; and
    • you understand that:
      • your respective Trial has a particular commencement date;
      • fees for parking at The Myer Centre Brisbane will be debited to your Linkt account during the Trial; and
      • you must keep your Linkt account balance positive at all times to prevent it from being suspended.
  • Participating

    You will be a participant in the respective Trial if we confirm your eligibility to participate.

    If at any time during the Trial you do not meet the respective Eligibility Criteria or comply with the conditions of participation outlined in these Terms, we may immediately remove you as a participant in that Trial. We will contact you within a reasonable time to let you know if this is the case.

    Eligible vehicles

    Only the vehicles with licence plate numbers (LPNs) linked to your Linkt account will be eligible for the Trial. You can update your details in a few simple steps online or via the Linkt app.

    Topping up your Linkt account

    To participate in these Trials, your Linkt account must have a positive balance.

    We recommend that you review your top up and trigger amounts to ensure your account maintains a positive balance during the Trial. You may update your top up and top up trigger level amounts at any time during your respective Trial.  You can update your top up preferences here.

    If your account is suspended during these Trials and your account is not restored to a positive balance, we will remove you as a participant from the Trial. We will contact you if this happens.

    Feedback

    During these Trials, we will give you opportunities to provide us with feedback about your experiences. 

    By submitting suggestions or other feedback regarding the Trial you participated in, you agree that we can use and share (but do not have to) such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

  • Using the parking service

    Once we confirm your participation in your respective Trial, you will be able to park at The Myer Centre car park and pay for your parking using your Linkt account during the Trial period. You acknowledge that you will be bound by the relevant terms and conditions of The Myer Centre car park and use The Myer Centre car park at your own risk.

  • Entering and exiting The Myer Centre car park

    During your respective Trial period, the boom gate will lift automatically as you enter and exit The Myer Centre car park.

    Entry

    If you are an eligible participant and the boom gate doesn’t lift, please do not take a ticket.

    You will need to press the ‘help’ button and inform the parking attendant that you are a trial participant. The parking attendant will allow the boom gate to lift so you may enter. Once you’re ready to leave, the boom gate will then automatically lift on exit and that parking transaction will be debited to your Linkt account.

    Exit

    If the boom gate does not lift after a few seconds of waiting, please also press the ‘help’ button and the parking attendant will allow the boom gate to lift so you may exit. Your parking transaction will be debited to your Linkt account.

    Eligible participant

    You will not be entitled to access the service if:

    • your Linkt account did not have a positive balance at the time that you entered The Myer Centre car park;
    • your Linkt Account is suspended;
    • you are no longer a participant in the Trial because we have removed you as a participant in accordance with these Terms; or
    • you have removed yourself as a participant in the Trial.
    • you have removed yourself as a participant in the Trial.

  • Paying for the parking services

    The parking fee will be deducted from your Linkt account within one (1) business day after your vehicle exits The Myer Centre Brisbane car park.

    The parking fee will be made up of the parking operator’s charges at the standard drive up rates for the session.

  • Leaving the trial

    The Trial will automatically end at 23:59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Tuesday 31 December 2019, unless we notify you otherwise.

    If you would prefer to leave your respective Trial earlier, you can do so at any time by emailing parking@linkt.com.au. Please note that it may take up to five (5) business days for us to remove your Linkt account from the Trial.

  • Your personal information

    The personal details you provide to us in your registration form may also be shared with the operator of The Myer Centre car park:

    • to confirm that your Linkt account is eligible for the trial; and
    • for us to debit the associated parking cost/s from your Linkt prepaid account.

    No other personal information will be exchanged with the parking operator.

    If you agree in your registration form, you may receive parking offers from us on behalf of The Myer Centre car park operator during the Trial period. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by emailing parking@linkt.com.au. These offers are separate to Trial communications, which you will continue to receive unless you cancel your participation in the Trial.

  • How to contact us

    If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Trials or these Terms, please email parking@linkt.com.au and include the following information:

    • your full name and email address;
    • if applicable, that you are a participant in the Trial and your Linkt account number;
    • a description of your query; and
    • if your query relates to a particular parking transaction, the date and time of the transaction.

    We will respond within one business day of receiving your query. It’s important to note that this email account will only be checked between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
