Verify your phone number
Sometimes, LinktGO sends messages asking users to verify their mobile numbers. This is done to keep your personal details and trip history safe and secure.
To verify your mobile number, all you need to do is click on the link provided in the SMS message from LinktGO. It's important because phone numbers can get reassigned by phone companies to others, and LinktGO needs to make sure that you're still the one using the app.
If you don't verify your mobile number by the deadline given in the message, all your vehicles will be removed from the LinktGO database. This will also remove your personal details and trip history to prevent anyone else from accessing them. To be sure your toll travel remains covered, you should verify your number before the deadline. If you do miss it, you can contact LinktGO's support team, and they'll help you get your trip history back.
Signing in every few months may seem like a hassle, especially if you don't use the app that often. But it's necessary to protect your personal information, so you can rest assured that your data is secure with LinktGO.
Update your phone number
To update your LinktGO phone number:
- "Deregister" via the app by selecting 'More' (in iOS), or 'Menu' (in Android) > 'My Details' > 'Deregister'
- Re-register for LinktGO using your new phone number
- Select 'Get in Touch' and send a request to migrate your LinktGO history from your old number to your new number
