How can we help?

Check your licence plate number

You can quickly do an online registration check on your vehicle. All you need is your vehicle’s licence plate number. These Government services are generally free to use.

  • Check a Victorian registered vehicle (VicRoads)
  • Check a NSW registered vehicle (Service NSW)
  • Check an ACT registered vehicle (Access Canberra)
  • Check a QLD registered vehicle (Queensland Government)

What are some common mistakes made when entering licence plate numbers?

People sometimes use the letter O and the number zero interchangeably.

If you mistakenly enter your licence plate number using the letter O instead of the number 0 and travel without a tag, or your tag can’t be read, your tolls won’t be covered by your account, and you’ll likely receive an unexpected toll invoice or notice.

The letter I and the number 1 are also commonly mistaken, so it’s a good idea to double check when updating or adding licence plate numbers.
