Incorrect email address SMS message from Linkt

To make sure we're communicating with you in a timely manner, we send most important account-related notifications by app notification, email or SMS.

We will get in touch with you in these ways: 

  • If you use the Linkt app, we'll send a notification
  • If you don't use the app, we'll send an email
  • If your email address is incorrect or out of date, we'll send an SMS.

SMS Message text

If we think your email address is incorrect or out of date, you may receive one of the following SMS messages:

  • Requesting to update your details online

    Where the message below shows information in italics, the SMS will include your specific account detail instead: 

    "Hi, the email on account (account number) is invalid. Please visit https://my.linkt.com.au/... to update your details. Thanks, the Linkt team"

    "Hi, we tried to contact you about your account (account number), but your email is invalid. Please update your details at https://my.linkt.com.au/..."

    "Hi, the email (your email address) on account (account number) is invalid. Please update your details at https://my.linkt.com.au/..."

    "Hi, we tried to contact you about your account (account number), but your email address (your email address) is invalid. Please update your details at https://my.linkt.com.au/... Thanks, the Linkt team"

  • Requesting to update your details by replying to the SMS

    Where the message below shows information in italics, the SMS will include your specific account detail instead: 

    "Linkt: Hi, we don't have an email address for your account (account number). Don’t miss important account info, reply to this SMS with your email address (no spaces or extra text). Or update your details at linkt.com.au Thanks, the Linkt team"

    "Linkt: Hi, looks like the email address (your email address) on your Linkt account (account number) is invalid. Don’t miss important account info, reply to this SMS with your email address (no spaces or extra text). Or update your details at linkt.com.au Thanks, the Linkt team"

    "Linkt: Hi, looks like the email address on your Linkt account (account number) is invalid. Don’t miss important account info, reply to this SMS with your email address (no spaces or extra text). Or update your details at linkt.com.au Thanks, the Linkt team"

What to do next

If you’ve received an SMS asking you to update your email address online: 

  • Log in to your account online or using the Linkt app. 
  • Select “My details” if you’re online or “My account” if you’re on the Linkt App. 
  • Then, update the email address on your account.

If you've received an SMS asking you to reply with your email address: 

  • Reply to the text message with your full email address, making sure there are no spaces or extra text  
  • Make sure that your email address is spelled correctly 
  • After you reply, we’ll send you an email to confirm that your email address has been updated on your account.  
  • If you're concerned about opening links or replying by SMS, you can update your details by logging in using the Linkt website at linkt.com.au or the Linkt app.
