I was driving a friend's car without a pass or account
If you're driving a friend's car, you can still buy a pass for your trips—you don't need to be the vehicle owner.
You can buy a pass up to 5 days after you've travelled. A road pass can be bought online, or you can buy a toll credit pass in person at participating United Petroleum, Puma or newsagent outlets. Find a retailer.
If you haven't managed to buy a pass within the time limit, the vehicle's owner will be issued with a toll invoice. If you aren't the registered owner of the vehicle, you can still pay the toll invoice online. All you need to do is enter the toll invoice number and proceed through the payment process.
A toll invoice or notice is a bill for unpaid travel on a toll road. In this video, you’ll learn about why you might receive one and how to avoid it.
