How to transfer a toll invoice to an account

You can transfer a toll invoice to your Linkt account. Once it's in your account, you can pay using your account balance or preferred payment method. 

If your account is suspended, you’ll need to reactivate your account before you can complete the transfer.

You can also transfer your toll invoice to another toll operator. This includes when your Linkt account is in a different state to where the toll invoice was issued.

Transfer options for each account

Prepaid Accounts
Before you can transfer a toll invoice to a Prepaid Account, your account balance needs to have enough funds for you to pay for it. We’ll display a recommended top up amount to help ensure your balance can cover any future toll road trips you make.

Postpaid Accounts
When you transfer a toll invoice to your Postpaid Account, the invoice amount gets added to your unpaid balance. This balance then gets taken from your card or bank account at the end of the day, just as it would if you made a trip.

Commercial Accounts
When you transfer a toll invoice to your Commercial Account, the outstanding amount will be added to your monthly invoice. 

  • Transfer to Linkt account
  • Transfer to another toll operator

Transfer a toll invoice to your Linkt account online

  1. Log in to your account (Or, you can search for the toll invoice and follow the instructions. You'll be prompted to log in to complete the transfer)
  2. Select 'Pay a toll'
  3. Search by 'Toll invoice number' or 'Registration' and select 'Search and pay'
  4. Check the 'Toll invoice' you want to transfer and then select 'Continue'
  5. Select the 'Transfer to your Linkt account' box and then select 'Continue'
  6. Choose your account and select 'Continue'
  7. Select 'Transfer now'
  8. Once the transfer has gone through, please ensure that you have a valid payment method set up to pay for the toll invoice
 

If you want to transfer your toll invoice to another toll operator – including Linkt accounts in a different state to where the invoice was issued – you'll need to make sure:

  • Your account with that operator is active
  • You're not logged in to your Linkt account (if you have one)

Transfer a toll invoice to another toll operator online

  1. Search for the toll invoice using the toll invoice number, or the licence plate number and state of registration
  2. Select 'Search and pay'
  3. Check the toll invoice you want to transfer and then select 'Continue'
  4. Check the 'Transfer to account' box, select your toll operator and then select 'Continue'
  5. Enter the account number of your toll operator, or your tag serial number
  6. Select 'Continue' to complete the transfer

If you want confirmation of this transfer, you can print a receipt or send it to your email. Transfers can take up to 2 days to process.
