Why am I seeing an 'Unpaid toll notice' reminder in my account?
There are a few different reasons why you might see an unpaid toll notice reminder when you’re logged in to your Linkt account or using the Linkt app. These can include:
- If you have added the vehicle to your account and we have been able to detect that there are unpaid toll notices owing for this vehicle.
- If a vehicle that has been registered to your account has travelled on a toll road while your account was suspended, and then your account was reactivated, you may receive a toll notice for the outstanding travel
What can I do about it?
If you didn't own the vehicle at the time of travel, you don't need to pay the toll notice. A toll notice will be posted to the registered owner of this vehicle.
If you owned the vehicle but someone else was driving it when the toll notice was incurred, you can nominate another driver to pay the notice.
Sold your vehicle? We recommend you remove any sold vehicles from your account. If the vehicles stay on your account, you may be charged for their travel.
If you know you have travelled on a toll road without an active account or pass and are likely to have unpaid toll invoices or demand notices, you should pay for these trips to avoid additional fees. If you don’t we may refer you to a debt collection agency.
