When you've travelled without a tag, pass or valid account

You have two options to pay for your trip:

    • Purchase one of our passes - to pay for your recent travel and cover trips made 3-5 days ago (cover CityLink trips made up to 5 days ago, and EastLink trips made up to 3 days ago.)
    • Open an account - to pay for your recent travel and cover trips made up to 9 days ago

To avoid a $15.21 admin fee, pay for your trip within 9 days of travel

If you don't purchase a pass or open an account within 10 days of travel

    • You will receive a toll invoice - this will include your toll amount plus an additional $15.21 admin fee. You will have 17 days to pay.

    • If you do not pay, you will receive a final toll invoice - this will include your toll amount plus an increased admin fee of $29.69. You will have 16 days to pay.

    • If you do not pay, Linkt will contact you for payment - Linkt will try to contact you via either letter, phone, email or SMS. This may include contact from our debt collection agencies.

    • If you ignore Linkt, you will then either:
      • Start a civil debt recovery process - if you are contacted by a debt collection agency and do not pay, the matter may go to court.
      • Receive an infringement notice - the fee will now be $192.31 from Fines Victoria.

Linkt Assist will no longer be available to you for financial support once you receive an infringement notice or the matter goes to court

If you receive an infringement notice

Your matter will now be managed by Fines Victoria.

    • If you do not pay, you will receive a penalty reminder notice. The fee will increase to $220.01
    • If you do not pay, you will receive a final demand notice. The fee will increase to $363.31
    • If you do not pay, you will receive an enforcement warrant. The fee will increase to $425.91

    • If you do not pay, Fines Victoria could then:
      • Suspend your license
      • Suspend or prevent vehicle registration

    • If you do nothing, the Sheriff's Office could then:
      • Seize or sell property
      • Clamp your car
      • Remove your license plates
      • Arrest you

    • If you have a general question about tolling or want to talk to someone about an existing Linkt account or recent travel call the Linkt team 13 33 31
