This year we are again proud to support Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group’s Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week and Road Trauma Support Services Victoria’s (RTSSV) Shine a Light on Road Safety campaign, both running from 30 April to 6 May, honouring those who have lost their lives and pledges to make roads safer for all motorists.
To increase awareness of this initiative, during safety week hundreds of thousands of motorists travelling across Transurban’s roads in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland will be reminded to #DriveSoOthersSurvive.
Transurban will also be lighting Melbourne’s iconic Bolte Bridge and the CityLink Sound Tube yellow and employees will wear yellow ribbons throughout the week to show their support for those affected by road trauma.
Supporting road safety initiatives is a key priority for Transurban and we partner with organisations like Road Trauma Support Services Victoria, the TAC, SARAH, the AAA motoring groups, research centres and government organisations to help make a tangible difference.
If you would like to show your support for Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week you can:
- pledge to #DriveSoOthersSurvive
- put your phone down and keep your eyes on the road
- wear yellow between 30 April and 6 May
- turn on your headlights to ‘Shine a Light on Road Safety’ on Friday 4 May
For more information about the week, please visit the SARAH Group's website.
