How many vehicles can I have on my account?

You can link as many vehicles as you like to a Tag, Tagless or Commercial account.

When a car linked to a Tag or Commercial account doesn't have a correctly installed tag, you'll will incur a no tag in vehicle fee per trip. You can reduce your fees by making sure each vehicle has a correctly installed tag.

A tag can be moved between vehicles as long as all vehicles are:

    • in the same vehicle class (Car or Heavy commercial vehicle)
    • linked to an active Tag account

We recommend that you have a separate tag for each vehicle linked to your account.

If you do have multiple tags make sure you have only one in a vehicle at a time or you may be charged twice for each trip.

Vehicle matching fees are charged for matching your licence plate number to your Tagless account.

  • How soon can I travel after opening an account?

How soon can I travel after opening an account?

For Tag accounts your tag will take 7 to 10 working days to arrive, but you can start travelling right away. Until you have a correctly installed and functioning tag, you'll be charged a no tag in vehicle fee. The no tag in vehicle fee is $0.75 per trip for travel on WestLink M7 or $0.55 per trip for travel on all other Sydney toll roads. Other amounts may be charged for trips on interstate roads.

For Tagless accounts you can travel immediately, however a vehicle matching fee applies for each trip you make. This fee is $0.75 on the WestLink M7 and $0.55 for all other Sydney toll roads. The amount may differ if you travel on interstate toll roads.

  • Motorcycles and tags

    Motorcycles and tags

A tag is not required for motorcycles travelling on toll roads, even if you have a Tag account.

Simply register your motorcycle's licence plate number to your Tag account and we'll use our cameras to match your motorcycle to your account. A no tag in vehicle fee will not be charged.
