Upcoming traffic changes during the 2025 Sydney Marathon

The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS is on Sunday 31 August 2025 and there are several major roads that will be impacted during the race.

What you need to know

To keep Sydney motorists moving during the event, the Cross City Tunnel will be toll-free from 5am – 4:30pm AEST, Sunday 31 August. If you have a tag, it won't beep during the toll-free period. If you travel before or after those times, standard toll pricing applies.

Please plan ahead as several major roads will be closed for the duration of the race. Read the full list of traffic changes and road closures on the Transport NSW website.
