What are tags?
A Tag is a small electronic device that beeps when you travel through a toll point. Each tag comes with a tag holder to help you install it on your vehicle’s windscreen.
Travelling with a tag
You can order one tag for each vehicle you add to your account, and you can also swap a tag between vehicles of the same vehicle class.
Keep in mind that for each vehicle class (Car, LCV, HCV), the number of tags you have cannot be more than the number of vehicles on your account. If you have any spare tags when linking a new vehicle, you’ll be prompted to order a new tag holder instead of a new tag.
If you have lost or misplaced tags, you’ll need to report them lost or stolen before being able to order a new tag for your vehicle.
Motorcycles don't need a tag and won't be charged video matching fees.
Tags for commercial accounts
If you have a Commercial account, you can choose to allocate tags to vehicles in your fleet. Allocating tags to vehicles can make it easier to reconcile trips with vehicles in your fleet. You can have an unlimited number of tags on a Commercial Account.
Travelling without a tag
When you buy a pass, you will need to register your license plate number so that we can match your toll road travel to your pass.
You can’t use tags if you're using passes to cover your toll road travel.
Tagless travel with an account
If you choose not to use a tag with your Prepaid or Postpaid account, you will be charged a video matching fee for each trip. For your trips to be correctly charged, you need to ensure that your vehicle's are added to the account and the license plate number is correct. If your vehicle’s are not added to the account or the licence plate number is incorrect, you will receive a toll invoice.
