How to pay for a one-off trip
If you’ve recently travelled on a toll road, we want to make it easy for you to pay, by choosing an option that’s best for you. You might be looking to just pay for a one-off trip, or maybe some recent short-term travel.
If you did not have a pass or active account before travelling, and depending when you travelled, here are your three options to cover your trip:
- Buy a pass
- Open an account
- Wait for toll invoice (toll + additional admin fee of $15.76*)
When did you travel?
Between 1-5 days ago
You can either purchase a pass or open an account within 5 days of travel to avoid the $15.76* admin fee.
- Purchase a pass - recommended for short term or one-off trips. Select from three pass options to cover your trip.
- Open an account - recommended for ongoing and future travel. Select from account options to pay for your recent trip, and cover future travel.
Between 6-9 days ago
You can open an account to cover your recent trip.
Accounts are recommended for ongoing travel on toll roads. You have up to 9 days from your date of travel to open an account and avoid paying the $15.76* admin fee. Any future trips will be covered by your account, with payment options to select from.
Over 10+ days ago
You’ll need to pay for your trip by toll invoice, as they are issued and sent approximately 10 days after you travelled. If it hasn’t already, this will arrive via post, and will incur an administration fee. You can wait to receive this in the post, or find and pay your toll invoice online using your license plate number.
Remember that using a toll invoice to pay for your travel is more expensive. The easiest way to avoid toll invoices in future is to open an account
