What is my vehicle class?
The class of your vehicle, along with the distance you travel, determines the tolls you pay. It is important to know that vehicle class is determined by certain physical attributes such as vehicle size, seating capacity, construction design, weight/mass. Whether the vehicle is used for personal or commercial use does not determine the vehicle class.

Vehicle classes on Melbourne's toll roads are set out in the contracts both CityLink and EastLink have with the Victorian Government and are determined based on each vehicle's size, weight and configuration. These classes, first established for CityLink in the mid-1990s, are consistent across both motorways.
