Your tag should beep when you travel through a toll point. If your tag doesn't beep, you'll be charged a fee of up to $0.75 per trip. To figure out how to avoid this, take the health check:

    A quick guide to the beeps: 
    1 beep = you're good to go
    3 beeps = low balance—time to top-up 
    4 beeps = account suspended—take urgent action to reactivate your account and avoid fees
  • To avoid paying a fee, ensure you travel with your tag. Start again
    If you've removed your tag on purpose, you can still travel, but you'll be charged an additional fee of up to $0.55 per toll point.
