Using Visa, Mastercard, eftpos or American Express to pay your tolls?
From 1 October 2026, card payment surcharges will no longer apply when you pay using these card networks.
This change follows the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) decision to remove debit, prepaid and credit card payment surcharges across designated card networks to support more transparent pricing for customers.
Importantly, this won’t increase our toll prices.
Our toll prices are determined by agreements entered with respective state governments for each toll road, and can only change in line with the pricing arrangements that apply to that road.
You may still see card payment surcharges on invoice statements and some Transurban digital channels after 1 October, but don’t worry – these will only relate to payments made before this date.
