Since 5 January 2026, our crews have been hard at work resurfacing CityLink’s southern section as part of a preventative road-care program.
These works reduce pavement cracking, prevent water damage and avoid future potholes, keeping the network smooth and safe for vehicles.
We're happy to share that these works are now complete. Here's what you need to know:
Lanes reopened overnight:
- Outbound from Burnley Tunnel to Glenferrie Rd
- Inbound from Glenferrie Rd to Domain Tunnel
What works were done:
- 150,000m² of road resurfaced
- 17,000t of new asphalt laid
- 54km of fresh line markings made.
