Know it’s not a scam when we text you

New government rules mean you’ll now see “Linkt” at the top of SMS messages.

From 1 July, new Australian Government rules will change how businesses send SMS messages, making it easier for you to recognise legitimate messages and avoid scams.

Texts from us will show “Linkt” as the sender name. Messages from unregistered brands, however, will be labelled ‘Unverified’. This is a clear sign for you to be cautious.

In very rare cases, we may still message from a mobile number if we need you to reply, for example, to an account enquiry.

Checking emails helps keep you safe online too

You can check an email is really from us by looking at the sender’s address (the “From” address in your inbox). Official Linkt emails will come from a linkt.com.au domain. If you’re unsure, don’t click any links. Instead, log in to your account directly or contact us using the details on our website.

Remember, we’ll never ask for your password or payment details via SMS or email. If you’re unsure about a message, check your account online or in the Linkt app.

If something doesn’t look right to you in an SMS, email or website, let us know (it helps protect everyone).
