In the tunnels, the default speed limit is 80 km/h. The West Gate Freeway’s default speed limit is 100 km/h, except for a default speed limit of 80 km/h between the tunnel exit and the Millers Road outbound entry ramp. - Alternative routes
Placarded and long heavy commercial vehicles (Long HCVs) cannot travel in the West Gate Tunnel. New Hyde Street ramps will give you an alternative route to and from the west.
