Linkt Journey Planner & Fuel Finder - Data Collection Notice

Transurban Limited (ACN 098 143 410) (“Linkt”, “we”, “us”, “our”) will collect your personal information when you use Journey Planner and Fuel Finder (collectively, “New Features”) in the Linkt app to:

  1. personalise your experience using the New Features;
  2. provide you with route options, toll cost estimates, and nearby fuel prices; and
  3. analyse and improve the performance of the New Features.

1. When you first use and set up the New Features

When you first use and set up the New Features in the Linkt app, we will collect and use the following information to configure and personalise your experience:

TypePurpose
Linkt account ID and associated identifiers.To link the New Features to your Linkt account and provide a personalised experience.
Full name.To personalise your interactions with the New Features.
Vehicle details including registration, class, make, model, and whether you travel with a tag.To provide accurate toll estimates and personalise route suggestions.
Preferred fuel type (e.g. U91, diesel).To display relevant fuel prices via Fuel Finder.

2. While you are using the New Features

LocationReal-time location (where you have permitted the Linkt app to access your device location).To enable turn-by-turn navigation in Journey Planner and to display nearby service stations in Fuel Finder. If you do not permit location access, turn-by-turn navigation and location-based Journey Planner and Fuel Finder results will not be available.
Journey dataTrip origin, trip destination, waypoints including fuel stops selected, selected routes, avoid-toll preference, fuel brand preferences, sort preference (e.g. cheapest, nearest, preferred brand with discount), analytics, and de-identified transcripts of your interactions with the AI interface.To generate route options, provide toll estimates, display and rank nearby service station options relevant to your preferences, and improve performance of the New Features.
Vehicle dataVehicle ID and associated identifiers, vehicle class, and tag status.To personalise route suggestions and provide accurate toll cost estimates.

Disclosure 

Personal Information collected in connection with your use of the New Features may be disclosed (i) to third parties (including information technology suppliers located in Australia or the Unites States of America) that will help us operate Journey Planner, or (ii) as required by law.

3. What happens if you do not agree?

You are not required to use New Features. If you do not agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as set out in this notice, you will not be able to use Journey Planner or Fuel Finder (as applicable). Your existing Linkt account and toll services will not be affected.
