The promoter of this Competition is Transurban Limited (ABN 96 098 143 410) of Tower Five, Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008, 03 8656 8900, operating under the brand Linkt (Promoter). Linkt is a trademark of Transurban Limited (ABN 96 098 143 410).
Competition Period
The Competition commences at 10:00am AEST, Monday 11 May 2026 and closes at 4:00pm AEST, Friday 12 June 2026 (Competition Period).
Competition details
Competition to win 1 of 2 TCS Sydney Marathon (42km) Prize Packs
There are 2 prizes available and each has a total value of $4,394.00. Each prize consists of: 1 x $280 Sydney Marathon 42km run ticket, 3 nights' accommodation for 2 people, 3 x daily breakfast for 2 adults, 1 x $1,000.00 Mastercard E-Gift card (Prize).
Eligible individuals (as set out in clause 7) who follow the entry steps in clause 10 may enter in the draw to win a Prize.
Who is eligible for the Competition
Entrants must:
- be 18 years of age or older;
- be a primary account holder of an active consumer Linkt Tag, Tagless, Prepaid or Postpaid account;
- be a resident of Queensland, New South Wales or Victoria;
- be a Linkt Rewards member;
- be opted in to receive Linkt promotional communications at the time of the Draw Date (see clause 14); and
- have no overdue toll invoices at the time of the Draw Date as stated in clause 28.
The following individuals are ineligible for the Competition:
- Linkt Commercial account holders or Linkt Commercial Rental account holders;
- Linkt Pass holders;
- directors and management of the Promoter;
- officers, employees, and contingent workers of the Promoter, Queensland Motorways Management Pty Ltd and Sydney Motorway Corporation Pty Ltd; and/or
- retailers, suppliers, associated companies, and agencies of the Promoter who are associated with this Competition, and their directors, management and employees.
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of identity, residential address and any other information from any entrant or winner relevant to entry into, or participation in, the Competition. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final.
How to enter the Competition
To enter into the Competition, eligible individuals must:
- log in to their Linkt account using the Linkt app;
- navigate to the ‘Rewards’ tab in the Linkt app;
- if they have not already, join ‘Linkt Rewards’ and accept the Linkt Rewards Membership terms and conditions;
- navigate to the Sydney Marathon competition tile labelled: 42km Sydney Marathon;
- agree to these competition terms and conditions (Terms);
- agree to their Linkt account details being used to enter them into the competition;
- consent to their personal information being disclosed for the purpose of prize fulfilment;
- consent to receive Linkt promotional communications and remain opted-in at the time of the competition draw; and
- ensure they remain in an active account status with no overdue toll invoices at the time of the competition draw.
Limit on number of entries: An eligible individual can only enter the Competition draw once. Where eligible customers share an account, each eligible customer may enter separately but only one Prize will be awarded per Linkt account.
Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
An entry must be received by the Promoter by the end of the Competition Period, or it will not be accepted. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter, not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
The Promoter takes no responsibility should a person not have the software, hardware or mobile plan that permits access to, and use of, the method of entry. Any costs associated with accessing the internet, downloading data on a mobile device, or using any device to access and use the method of entry is the sole responsibility of the Entrant and is dependent on the Internet/mobile service provider used.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for:
- any late, lost, or misdirected entries or other communications; or
- any internet traffic congestion or problems with, or technical malfunction of, any hardware or software, including but not limited to any damage to the hardware or software of any Entrant or other persons related to participation in the Competition.
Entrants must not:
- tamper with the entry process;
- engage in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;
- use multiple aliases, email addresses, postal addresses, PO Box addresses and/or SIM cards to register multiple qualifying accounts or use any form of software or third-party application to enter multiple times (including scripting software) except where expressly permitted in these Terms; and
- engage in conduct in entering the Competition which, in the opinion of Promoter, is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Competition and/or Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who breaches these Terms, including but not limited to providing false information, failing to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering, or tampering with the Competition.
Entries remain the property of the Promoter.
Prize Terms
There is a maximum of 2 Prizes for a total prize pool value of $8,790.
Each Prize comprises:
- 1x Entry into the TCS Sydney Marathon (42KM event) valued at $280; and
- 1x 3-night stay in a twin share room at The Darling Hotel, Sydney from Friday 28 August 2026 to Monday 31 August 2026 valued at $3,115; and
- 1 x Mastercard E-Gift card valued at $1,000.
If a Prize winner ceases to meet the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms after entering the Competition and before the Prize is delivered, the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the Prize.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Prize values are:
- in Australian dollars; and
- based on the recommended retail prices at the time of first publication of these Terms and Conditions (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between the time of first publication of these Terms and Conditions and the ultimate prize redemption date.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash, unless otherwise advised. If a Prize or any element of a Prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that Prize, or an element of that Prize, another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion), subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
Prize specific terms
24. General Prize Terms
The following are not included as part of the Prize: airfare, transport to and from the event, equipment, travel insurance, meals, and all other out-of-pocket costs.
25. TCS Sydney Marathon entry
- Prize winners will receive 1x ticket into the TCS Sydney Marathon (42KM - full race) taking place 30 August 2026.
- Prize winners must complete their race registration with TCS Sydney Marathon by 12pm AEST 5 July 2026.
- The Prize will expire if not booked or used by the date set out in paragraph 25(b) and can only be redeemed for the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon event.
- A strict no cancellation/amendment policy applies once event registration has been made.
26. Accommodation:
- Accommodation for up to 2 adults at the Darling Hotel Sydney, 80 Pyrmont St, Sydney NSW 2009 in a Darling Twin Room.
- Check-in is 3:00pm on 28 August 2026 and check-out is 11:00am on 31 August 2026.
- Breakfast is included.
- Prize winners will need to check into the Darling Hotel Sydney with identification matching the details confirmed and verified with the Promoter.
- Prize winners will receive the confirmation of the booking from an employee of the Promoter and the applicable terms and conditions for their stay. Prize winners are responsible for complying with the Darling Hotel Sydney terms and conditions.
- Additional nights, room services, late checkout, mini bar, and any other expenses, including but not limited to, upgrades or optional extras are not included in the Prize and are at the winner’s personal cost.
27. Mastercard E-Gift Card
- Each prize winner will receive a Mastercard E-Gift Card valued at $1,000. The E-Gift Card will be emailed to the email address on the winner’s Linkt Account by 13 July 2026.
- The winner must activate the E-Gift Card within 3 months of receiving it or for security purposes, or the card will be closed.
- To activate the E-Gift Card, click on the ACTIVATE YOUR CARD button in the email. For security purposes, the email address the card was sent to must be used to activate the card. The card has a card proxy number that for security purposes, is required to activate the card and to view the card balance or transaction history. The proxy number can be found by clicking on the link inside the email containing the card.
- The E-Gift Card cannot be forwarded or used with an alternate email address. The winner is liable for any loss or unauthorised transactions on the card where it has been forwarded or provided to another person by the winner.
- At the time of activation, the winner will be asked to provide personal information This information is required for identification and security purposes. Once the card is activated, the funds will be available instantly.
- The E-Gift Card will expire 3 years from the date it’s provided to the winner.

Competition Draw
- The draw will take place at 12:00pm AEST on Tuesday 16 June 2026 (the Draw Date) at Transurban Limited, Tower Five, Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008.
- On the Draw Date, a winner will be randomly drawn by an electronic draw process from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period. The first two valid entries drawn will each be deemed a Prize Winner.
How the winner will be notified and prize delivery
- Each Prize winner will be notified by phone call using the phone number on their Linkt account within 7 days of the Draw Date and then emailed using the email address on their Linkt account. Prize winner must confirm acceptance of their Prize during the phone call or by reply email. The winner must verify their identity and residency by showing current identification that shows both their name and address (for example, a drivers’ licence) on a video call with an employee of the Promoter by 25 June 2026 or the Prize winner will be taken to have forfeited the prize.
- Once the winners' identity has been validated and confirmed, the Promoter will:
- book the accommodation with the name, email address and mobile provided by the winner. A confirmation code and booking confirmation will be emailed to the winner from an employee Promoter by 20 July 2026 to use when checking into accommodation.
- send an email to the winner with instructions on how to register for the TCS Sydney Marathon event and information about their accommodation; and
- the Mastercard E-Gift Card will be emailed to the email address on the winner’s Linkt Account by 13 July 2026.
- The Promoter will make all reasonable attempts to identify and contact all Prize winners.
- The Prize winner’s last name, initial of their first name, State and postcode will be published at www.transurban.com/sydney-marathon on or before 25 June 2026 and will remain published for a minimum of 28 days.
- Before the Prize transfer is made, each winner must attend a validation video call with an employee of the Promoter and show a form of valid photo identification that includes their full name and address, so it can be matched to the details on their Linkt account to verify their identity and residency. In the case that a Prize winner cannot verify their identity or residency; they will forfeit their right to the Prize. Each winner is solely responsible for ensuring their identity details are correct.
Second chance draw
- Subject to applicable law, in the event that:
- a Prize winner cannot be identified or contacted on or before 9am AEST Thursday 25 June 2026, despite all reasonable attempts to do so by the Promoter; or
- a Prize is unclaimed by that time for any other reason whatsoever (including because the winner has forfeited their right to the Prize, the winner does not accept and claim the Prize in accordance with paragraph 30 the winner or the winning entry does not comply with these Terms, or otherwise),
- the Promoter will conduct a second chance draw in order to determine a second chance winner (Second Chance Winner) for each unclaimed Prize. The second chance prize draw will be conducted in the same manner as the original Prize draw (subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority).
- If required, a second chance prize draw will take place at 12pm AEST on Thursday 25 June 2026 at Transurban Limited, Tower Five, Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008.
- Each Second Chance Prize winner will be notified by phone call using the phone number on their Linkt account within 7 days of the Draw Date and then emailed using the email address on their Linkt account. Prize winner must confirm acceptance of their Prize during the phone call or by reply email. The winner must verify their identify and residency by showing current identification that shows both their name and address (for example, a drivers’ licence) on a video call with an employee of the Promoter by 26 June 2026 or the Prize winner will be taken to have forfeited the prize.
- If after a second chance draw any Prize remains unclaimed for any reason, the Promoter may dispose of the Prize as it sees fit (subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority).
- The decision of the Promoter is final and binding; no correspondence will be entered into.
Personal information
- Details from your Linkt account (being your first name, last name and email address) will be used for the purpose of conducting the Competition (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the Competition), for promotional purposes surrounding the Competition, and as otherwise set out in the Terms.
- Prize winner’s first name, last name, and email address will be disclosed to the Darling Hotel Sydney and Pont3 Pty Ltd trading as TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS.
- Entrants’ personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at https://www.linkt.com.au/legal/policies/transurban-privacy-policy.
- Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter via email at privacy@transurban.com or phone at 13 33 31.
- By entering the Competition, Entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood how their information will be used and disclosed by the Promoter and that this use and disclosure will be without any further reference or payment to the Entrants.
Governing law
- The agreement which comes into force under these Terms is governed by, and must be construed in accordance with, the laws in force in New South Wales and the Promoter and any consumer who participates in the Competition submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales that State in respect of all matters arising out of or relating to these Terms, and the performance or subject matter of the Competition.
Limitation of liability
- To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) will not be responsible for any acts of god, acts of terrorism or war (declared or undeclared), state of emergency, disaster, technical failures, security breaches, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, computer viruses or other events beyond the Promoter’s control which affect the proper or reasonably anticipated conduct or administration of the Competition, or prevent the awarding of the Prize in accordance with these Terms. If such an event occurs, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
- Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other implied warranties under any legislation in Australia. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (whether direct, indirect, special or consequential) arising in any way out of the Competition, including but not limited to where such injury, loss or damage arises out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in the Prize value to that stated in these Terms; (e) any tax liability incurred by an Entrant or a winner; (f) participation in the Competition or any component of the Prize by an Entrant or a winner; (g) the conduct, act or omission of any service provider or prize supplier associated with the Competition; or (h) cancellation or postponement of any portion of the Prize for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.
